WHO WE ARE

Our mission

Gainesville faces a great divide between the community on campus vs. the community beyond, particularly regarding those in East Gainesville.

Yet with so much research occurring at the University of Florida, are poorer communities accessing the resources available to them (e.g. clinical trials) and do they even know about preventative measures and general information regarding neurological disorders?

We are seeking to bridge the gap between the science that often gets stuck in the scientific realm or within the realm of those within a higher socioeconomic status. We aim to customize UF's flowing stream of research for the Gainesville community.

Digitally, we wanted to create a website that offers accessibility by breaking down research findings. We want to break down stereotypes about medicine and offer information about clinical trials. Our goal is to establish loyalty and trust with the community, giving a direct connection from research to community members.
